One drive for the new laptop and the old one

A dual drive has a USB-C plug at one end and a USB-A plug at the other, or a swivel that turns one into the other. It goes from a MacBook or an Android phone to a school computer or a car stereo without an adapter.

If every device you own has USB-C, a USB-C-only drive is shorter and usually cheaper for the capacity. Speeds on this shelf run from about 100 MB/s on the keychain sticks to 1,000 MB/s on the solid-state ones. The bar on each card shows where a drive sits.

Questions

Questions about USB-C flash drives at EasyFlash

Which EasyFlash drive works on both your old and new laptop?

A dual drive: USB-C at one end for the new laptop, USB-A at the other for the old one. Most dual drives here use a swivel or a slider so only one plug sticks out at a time.

Is a USB-C drive slower in your laptop than a USB-A drive?

No. The plug shape says nothing about speed. The USB generation and the drive inside do. Compare the green read-speed bars on the cards.

Will a dual drive work with your iPad?

Yes, on any iPad with a USB-C port. The drive shows up in the Files app by its name.
