What EasyFlash is

Why the plug comes first

Most flash drive mistakes happen before the drive is out of its package: a USB-A stick for a laptop with only USB-C ports, a Lightning drive for an iPhone 15, a fast drive for a ten-year-old car stereo that reads it at a crawl. So every page here opens with the connector, and every card shows it as a drawing of the plug itself.

After the plug come the files. A capacity on a box says little until it turns into photos, minutes of video and songs, so our pages turn it into those, with the file sizes we count by printed beside them.

Drives from every major maker, side by side

The shelves hold 96 drives from 42 makers: SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston, PNY, Lexar, Transcend, Verbatim and smaller labels that sell bulk packs. Each drive keeps its own maker's name, figures and photos. We do not make flash drives and we do not rebrand them.

Putting them on one shelf lets you compare what the makers print the same way: plug, capacity, USB generation, read speed and price per drive. Two 128GB sticks at the same price can differ fourfold in how fast they copy, and that difference is the point of most of our pages.

How you buy here

Each drive has a buy button that opens our retail partner on the exact capacity and pack you picked. Checkout, delivery, returns and the maker's warranty all happen there; EasyFlash has no cart of its own and never sees your card.

Prices and ratings come from our catalog update, and the page on how we update prices says how often and what wins when a figure moves.

Questions we answer

Which plug, which size and whether a drive works with a given phone or car are the questions we hear most. The guides answer them at length, with the public sources behind each figure, and our contact page reaches a person.

8 years in, we still start every answer the same way: what are you plugging it into?
