How we work

How we update prices and specs

Every price, capacity, speed and rating on EasyFlash comes from our catalog update. Here is what we update, how often, and what wins when two figures disagree.

What we update

Prices of every capacity and pack of every drive, whether a drive is in stock, its star rating and how many people rated it. A drive that goes out of stock leaves the shop at the next update and comes back when it is in stock again.

The catalog was last updated on October 22, 2026. We update it on a schedule, several times a month. If the price at checkout differs from the one here, the price at checkout is the one you pay: it is the newer figure.

Where the specs come from

Capacity, plug, USB generation and read and write speeds are taken from what each maker publishes for that drive and that capacity. A small drive is often slower than the large one of the same model, so the speed on a product page follows the capacity you pick.

Speeds are printed as the maker prints them, as "up to" figures. They are measured in the maker's lab with large files and a fast port. Small files and older ports bring them down. We never round a speed up and never carry one drive's figure over to another.

How the drives are ordered

Shelves are sorted by how many people rated each drive, most first. A drive with a rating below four stars, or with no rating yet, does not join the shop. No maker pays for a place on a shelf.

We carry the drives that sell most and rate well, about a hundred of them, weighted by price so that cheap bulk sticks do not crowd out the drives people keep for years.

The arithmetic on our pages

The "how much fits" counts divide a capacity by an average file size we state next to it: a phone photo at 4 MB, a minute of 4K video at 350 MB, a song at 8 MB. Your files will vary.

The copy times divide 10 GB by the read speed the maker prints and set it against a USB 2.0 stick at 30 MB/s. They show the gap between drives, not a stopwatch reading.
